Our Story

Hockey and oysters, An Abby & David TRadition

Abby and David had both moved to Boston in 2013.  New to the city, their mutual friend Jon Sladek introduced them.  A little chatting back and forth, and the two made plans to catch an Army @ BC Hockey game (s/o Brian Schultz & Johnny Gaudreau).  They had a blast at the game, and made their way over to Island Creek Oyster Bar, where Abby had her first oyster, and her last first date.

Four years later (adding a few apartments and big, smiling Hobey), David tricked Abby into thinking he was going to run the Harvard Stadium stairs with her.  Once they got up to the top flight of the first section - David was on one knee asking if she'd marry him.  Luckily for him, she said yes - and didn't even make him finish the run.

travel & Accommodations

Harwich Port is located 85 miles by car from Boston Logan International Airport.  Here's a few options for how to get to the Cape, where to stay, and how to get around on our wedding day.

GETTING TO CAPE COD

If you're coming in from out of town (s/o Chicago & Cleveland people), then your best bet is to fly into Boston Logan International Airport.  It's about 90 miles from Logan to Harwich Port.  You can...

PRO TIP: The traffic to/from the Cape can get dicey.  Definitely anticipate 2.5-3 hours from Logan.

Where to Stay

We've reserved a block of rooms at the Resort & Conference Center at Hyannis and the Fairfield Inn - Cape Cod / Hyannis. Cape Cod has a ton of beautiful hotels, inns, rental homes and B&B's should you want a more "cape-y" feel to your accommodations.  Click the Accomodations tab below for details.

We've arranged busses for Saturday leaving from both hotels.  A school bus will be leaving from both the Resort & Conference Center at Hyannis the Fairfield Inn - Cape Cod / Hyannis.  Both busses leave at 3:30pm sharp.  Please be at the hotel lobby by 3:15pm.

We will also have busses to bring people to Ember Pizza, as well as trips back to both hotels after the reception.

July 4th Weekend

With July 4th being a Wednesday, we're going to be enjoying beautiful Cape Cod for a few days leading up to the big one.  If you're coming in town early, join us on the Cape for a few fun days of relaxation & celebration!
